Not the greatest of nights down on the farm as several prospects struggled while one had to leave his game early with an injury. Gwinnett Braves - Postponed Rain Stinks Next Game - 5/14 Doubleheader at Pawtucket @ 4:35 PM Probable Starters (Game One): Gwinnett - John Gant, Pawtucket - Eduardo Rodriguez, Probable Starters (Game Two): Gwinnett - Ryan Weber, Pawtucket - TBA Mississippi Braves 0, Mobile BayBears 7 Box Score Dansby Swanson, SS: 0-4, .302/.409/.484 Dustin Peterson, LF: 1-4, 2B, .277/.345/.477 Brandon Barker: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 2.31 ERA Not a lot of good news down in Mississippi as the Braves were shut out 7-0. On paper, this looks like Brandon Barker's worst start of the season and you are not necessarily wrong, but he did get a bit of a raw deal. After being his usual awesome self through 4 innings, he gave up a bunt single followed by an infield single with a throwing error from 3B thrown in followed by a 3-run homer to dead center. Best defensive play probably means a clean inning, but he does have to own the homer...but thats how it went on this night. The bullpen did not fair better as Burawa gave up 2 runs in as many innings and Bradley Roney gave up another as he continues to prove while he has fantastic stuff, he can't throw strikes reliably as he walked 4 in two innings.
